Cassava,
manioc or cassava (Manihot utilissima) is an annual herbaceous tropical and
subtropical parts of the Euphorbiaceae. Tuber is widely known as a staple
food-producing carbohydrates and leaves as a vegetable.
Shrubs,
can reach 7 feet tall, with sparse branches. Taproot with a number of roots and
branches are then enlarged into an edible tuber roots. Cassava is a rich source
of carbohydrate energy but very poor in protein. Good sources of protein
actually contained in the cassava leaves, because it contains the amino acid
methionine. Therefore, consuming cassava leaves will be good for your health.
